Open Water Swimming

I started open water swimming in 2011 in aid of a prostate cancer charity called The
Chestnut Appeal.

This is based at Derriford Hospital Plymouth.

The charity organises about four open water swims each year.
I restrict myself now to the iconic "Round Burgh Island" swim. I have, in the past completed
the Plymouth Breakwater to The Hoe, but the tide was strong enough on the day to make
what was a 2k swim to more like 4k! Not for me.

The weather is not always this kind to us. I've swum in "washing machine" conditions and
flat calms -  I know which I prefer.
